Something it’s fair to say we all have trouble achieving, mindfulness is a state of focusing your awareness on the present moment – and being in the now.

With scientific studies showing mindfulness not only prevents depression, but also brings about long-term changes in mood, levels of happiness and wellbeing, it’s one of the cornerstones of ESPA philosophy and an essential element to our approach to natural beauty and inner calm.

Helping to rebalance body and mind, our mindfulness menu of facial and massage treatments are holistic, deeply relaxing and clarifying experiences to help you work on the concept – aiding body and mind to reduce stress and ‘be more in the present’.

Focussing on breath work before each treatment, our therapists skilfully guide you through breathing and visualisation techniques to help relax the mind and release physical or emotional anxieties.

This involves breathing deeply in through the nose into the abdomen and out through the mouth, while visualising a colour travelling through your body to focus your mind to the room, to the treatment and to yourself.

For the 90 minute Mindful Massage, feet are massaged to help rebalance and ground, before a soothing, deeply therapeutic massage is continued up through the body to promote positivity to the mind, finishing with a re-energising scalp massage using warm rose quartz crystals.

With the Mindful Facial, also 90 minutes, warmed herbal poultices are used to deeply cleanse, hydrate and rejuvenate the skin while also calming a busy mind.

Helping negative energies fade, lifting strokes sculpt and tone the complexion while nourishing the skin. Finishing with a choice of a soothing scalp massage or hand and arm massage, you’ll leave feeling relaxed, nurtured and with beautifully smooth, radiant and nourished skin.
