Spotlight: Recover & Revive Collection: The Perfect Muscle Tonic

This year ESPA has some incredible limited edition gifts for Christmas and none more so than the Recover & Revive Collection.

Perfect for tired bodies and weary minds, helping you get up close and personal with this muscle saving trio, here’s our guide to the seasons must have gift.

Pairing two of our best loved body products with an exclusive first look, we’ve combined the power of Peppermint, Eucalyptus and warming Clove Bud and West Indian Bay Oils to create a collection that relieves, soothes and refocuses.

Containing Energising Shower Gel, bestselling Fitness Body Oil and exclusive, limited edition Muscle Rescue Balm, you can use this collection pre or post workout to revive and soothe even the most tired muscles.

Not just for those who like to keep fit, Recover & Revive is also great for those with active jobs or lifestyles, and can be used whenever required after a tiring day at the office.

Expert Tip: Getting you through a long day, apply Muscle Rescue Balm on pulse points to help refocus the mind.

An ideal way to start your day, invigorate the senses when you wake with an energising shower to rouse body and mind and help you focus on the day ahead.

Followed with Fitness Body Oil to warm muscles and prime them for activity. Packed with intensely cooling Peppermint and Eucalyptus, apply a small amount of Muscle Rescue Balm to hardworking muscles to melt away tension (especially in the neck and shoulders) for an overall sensation of soothing relaxation.

Our experts say:

To really get the most out of your Recover & Revive Collection, for those of us who spend a lot of time sitting, regular stretching is crucial. We find a quick yoga cat and cow stretch at the beginning and end of the day helps, not just to loosen up, but to also maintain a healthy spine.

Step 1 – Simply get onto your hands and knees, with knees hip width apart. Start with spine neutral.
Step 2 – With feet flat and relaxed, arch your back as high as you can, head down, into cat pose. Breathe.
Step 3 – To get into cow pose, tuck your toes under and reverse the move, with head held high and tilted as far back as you can.

Repeat up to 20 times.

We also love quick hand and wrist stretches – bending fingers backwards and hands forwards a few times before shaking them out to help keep stiffness at bay.
