Rose oil finds its way into our products through a process of lengthy distillation. Out of the thousands of varieties of roses in the world, only two – Geranium and Damascena – make the cut.
The Damascena we use is grown only in Bulgaria, where ideal levels of heat create the most potent petals. These are picked in the early hours of the morning, just after the dew. Our rose oil is precious stuff: it takes 4,000 kilos of petals to produce a just single kilo of oil.
But as our skin technicians and aromatherapists will tell you, the effort that goes into producing the Damascena elixir more than balances out. Used as a calmative since Romans times, the Damascene aroma is transformative for stress levels, and even the smallest drop is enough to lift a tired complexion.
