If you’ve visited Morocco, you may have witnessed the extraordinary sight of goats clambering into the branches of certain large, gnarly trees.
What entices them up? The small olive-like fruit hidden in those scrubby branches, called Argan. It’s the source of one of the rarest, most nutrient-rich oils in the world.
While Berber tribeswomen have known of its benefits for centuries – attributing their glowing, smooth complexions to it – scientist have only recently discovered its secret. Argan oil contains extraordinarily high levels of vitamin E and fatty acids, making it a powerful anti-aging ingredient.
We source our Argan from a UNESCO-protected reserve, sustainably maintained by cooperatives of local women who share its profits among the community. This means the ancient secret of Berber beauty will be around for centuries to come.
How it works:
- Heals tissue, reduces irritation and protects against solar radiation.
- Improves skin metabolism and promotes moisture retention.
- Neutralises free radical damage, which is important for skin exposed to polluted urban environments.
- Helps soften the skin and reduce wrinkles by restoring the skin’s hydro-lipid layer.
